Tree Strings luthier Brian Stewart does all manner of fretted instrument repair on new, used and vintage instruments. No job is too big for our well equipped shop. All repair costs are based on a $45/hr labor rate. Below is a list of basic repair/set-up work that is done daily here in the shop. Please note that is is not a comprehensive list of all the repair work we do.
- Restring: $10-$25 (dependent on guitar/bridge design)
- Truss Rod Adjustment: $10
- Basic Set-Up: $45
- Floyd-Style Tremolo bridge Set-Ups start at $59
- Bone Nut or Saddle: $65 (compensated saddles extra)
- Crack Repair: $30/inch
- Fret Level (includes Set-Up): $100
- Re-fret: Starting at $200
- Neck Reset: Starting at $300
Because each job is unique, prices are estimates only.
Work can be done based on the needs of your instrument (partial re-frets; bolt-on neck resets, etc.)
All electronics work is based on our bench rate of $50/hr.
A $50 Non-Refundable Estimate Fee is required for all potential electronics repairs coming into the shop.
We try to be as accurate as possible with all our estimates, but unforeseen issues may arise during the course of a repair. If we find that our estimate is significantly undervalued, we will contact you before proceeding further with a repair.
